Connecting the MiniVid to your microscope is easy - simply remove the eyepiece and drop it in place.  Connecting it to your TV, VCR, or Computer Video Capture card is just as easy, just plug it in.

The USB version connects to computer USB port, and includes the appropriate driver files for still or motion (video) digital photography.

This camera is ideal for the classroom for microscopic viewing by everyone, and is perfect for anyone who wants to take archival photos of specimens and collections.  The MiniVid is three ounces of video power!

Unlike many microscope video cameras, the MiniVid includes a macro lens, allowing it to be used as a regular camera (without a microscope) with a focus range of 0.25" to infinity. A gooseneck stand is available to hold the camera upright.

YES!  The eVid may be used to capture motion and still images in your computer.

The USB version is ready to plug into a USB port on your Windows based computer.  (Not Mac compatible.)

For the RCA plug version you'll need a video capture board and you'll be all set.

If your computer has a "Video Capture Card" that can accept composite video input from a RCA style jack (most all can), then you are all set.

Otherwise, we have the "EZ Capture card" available for Windows 98+ systems. The card comes with driver files which allow you to capture motion and still pictures.
