1. Coated with a special primer, formulated for a lasting bond to your scopes' metal frame

2. Sanded to remove imperfections and insure adhesion of the top coat

3. Coated again with a reagent resistant finish, impervious to common formulas used in labs and schools

4. Baked at scorching temperatures to insure a tough, permanent finish that will stand up to years of use
